The Shop

The shop is located in Gulberg and is nestled between a bank and another shop and is therefore, not all that visible. First time visitors might have some difficulty in locating the shop. The size of the shop is considerably small and it gets crowded quickly but the interior is otherwise clean and organized. There is a plethora of DVDs in the shop, arranged in an orderly manner. The Indian and Pakistani movies are arranged separately, while the English movies and Seasons have a separate space reserved for them. The DVDs are of excellent quality and you will never be tricked into buying a Camera Print instead of the Master Print, unlike some other shops where their only goal is to SELL! Variety is something that you will find in abundance in this particular DVD store. They have movies of all genre and age, even ones dating back to our grandparents` times. Hence, whether its “Whorton Hears a Who” which you want or “Casablanca”, you`ll find it right here in this very shop!

Service

The service at Tan San is extraordinary. The sales persons are co-operative, decent and efficient! You can spend ages searching for the right movie and they will assist you every step of the way. Moreover, if for some reason, you go back to return the DVD, you won’t be hassled especially if you have a valid reason.

Price

When I first started going to this particular shop around 2-3 years back, the DVDs cost around Rs.80 each but as of November 2009, they have reduced their prices to RS.50 per DVD which is a pretty good deal if you ask me but the Seasons are still priced at Rs.80 per DVD.

Summary

The Good: Excellent service and affordable prices.

The Bad: Too small, even for a small crowd of customers.
