Raaz 3 is Bollywood horror film directed by Vikram Bhatt, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. The film is a sequel to Raaz – The Mystery Continues (2009), which itself was a sequel to Raaz (2002), and features Emraan Hashmi reprising his role from the second film, and with a new addition to the cast, Esha Gupta. The story revolves around actress Shania (played by Bipasha Basu) who is at the peak of her success but soon sees her popularity fading as Sanjana (Esha Gupta) enters the film industry and takes her place. Also Shania's boyfriend (Emraan Hashmi) leaves her for Sanjana. Thus, Shania to win her glory back, turns to black magic to take revenge from Sanjana and get back Aditya.

According to Bipasha Basu, it's the darkest role she has ever played and no character could get darker than this.

"For me, in my filmography of work, this is the most challenging role I have done and I don't think I can get better than this," she said.

In a recent interview, Emraan Hashmi said, "I have a loyal audience who like me doing certain roles, translated as the passionate romantic lover on screen and Raaz 3 is another one of those - an erotic horror film."

Both Bipasha and Emraan call Raaz 3 a champagne horror film which goes beyond the typical scary films, but has a love story weaved into it and its USP is that it's shot in 3D.

The film got an Adult-certificate from the censor board and is in 3D to give audiences an edge-of-the-seat experience.
