Apple iPad Reviews

I cant understand why people cannot appreciate innovation. This is start of a new age of computers. A light weight (0.68kg) and thin (0.5 inch) computer which you can take anywhere with you and it is sufficient for performing your daily tasks (internet, email, chat, spreadsheets, word processor, presentation, audio, video, apps, games and the kindle killer feature iBooks). See the beauty of user interface they have made. Even Microsoft copies their UI innovation.

By the way, I have seen many Pakistanis criticizing and making fun of REVO (First ever car designed, engineered and manufactured in Pakistan). It can be a failed attempt, it can have many features missing and at this stage it cant even compare with imported technology. But we must appreciate that someone has taken an initiative. According to my information now Pakistan is among 17 nations who have designed, engineered and manufactured their own cars (I am not 100% sure about it) .

Learn to appreciate innovation.

You forgot to consider the 9.7 inch screen size (More screen size --> consumes more battery)

Is there any competitor giving 10 hours of battery life with so many features in $499 only?

The price is very very high but its not just $499. What I hate is when I have bought something give me the freedom to use it. Things like you have bluetooth in hardware but you cant use it to connect with most of devices is just frustrating. and the bills you get on doing every little thing are even more frustrating

So, yes apple is a leader in technology, and they this is the start of a new age like iphone was a start of a new age in mobile phones. Still just to support this innovation I am not ready to spend $499, unless I know there won't be any stupid restrictions from Apple

I was reading some article or blog somewhere I dont remember, the guy called it 'iPad on Steroids'

The only good thing about it is

iBook - you dont need to have Kindle anymore for reading books; so that is a good feature. but wait a second, someone was mentioning that it would only be available in US at the time of launching it.

There are better options available at the moment than iPad, one is Sony Vaio P series; which is much lighter than iPad and can do multiple things which iPad can't even think of doing so; or even HP/MS iSlate or whatever they call it can be another alternative for iPad; for me it is not much of a charm in iPad, iPad looks a little ugly given the dimensions.

Nice Gadget but not an alternative for netbooks.

Good for reading e-books, watching movies and time passing
